Sum and Substance Law Lectures

Law School Lectures

Sum and Substance and Legend Law Lectures lack a law outline, exam writing and issue spotting drills.

Sum and Substance is one of the makers of what used to be audio cassettes that they finally converted over to CDs. From the review of the Sum and Substanceproducts that we purchased used and from local bookstores we do not believe they have MP3 versions of any of their products. They are part of the West Group of companies. The Legends law school tapes, which West owns as well, were originally produced to compete with the Sum and Substance products.

The content of the Sum and Substance tapes are ok but there is no workbook, no outline, and there is no bank of questions and answers nor any real law school exam writing materials with each product. In fact, in some of the versions the upgrades they did to correct old law in the lectures were pathetic. The professors who give the Sum and Substance lectures are ok. Sum and Substance has a lot of titles in audio lectures. Legends has the same flaws but we don’t know how they do their upgrades.

That being said, don’t buy these products unless you have a lot of down time in your car on the way to school. Audio lectures are great when you go to evening law school and drive during the day for your job or you drive a good distance to get to law school. The down time you can recover from simply putting in an audio lecture is great. If you listen to such lectures at home it is a virtual guarantee that you will fall asleep. Don’t buy anyone’s lectures unless you can exercise or drive a car around while you listen.

Sum and Substance and Legends Law lectures do not guarantee your results.

Sum and Substance and Legends do not guarantee their products in any fashion, other than for defects in the CD’s themselves. They do not guarantee that if you use their products you will get B’s or better or money back. They do not have a printed outline nor any law school exam writing material that comes with the audio files. They do not have any banks of questions and answers to also assist you in the application of the law.

The most glaring problem with the Sum and Substance products was that they make new editions of the lectures by just simply dubbing over the current voices. At least this was what was done with the products we looked at and tested.

MP3 Substantive Law Lectures have extensive exam writing and issue spotting materials and come with a guarantee.

MP3 law lectures include a law outline of the lecture and guarantee the results. These series of lectures are twice as long and just as good. They also include a significant law school exam writing section with good advice on both exam writing and issue spotting..

Biggest problem with MP3 lectures is they only have 6 topics with Constitutional law being added in 2013.

For first year students Sum and Substance, Legends. And MP3 Law lectureshave titles for torts, contracts, criminal law, civil procedure, constitutional law, and real property. Click here to see Used Sum and Substance Lectures Sum and Substance Audio on Torts
